Visited the Brooklyn Botanic Garden
I wasn't able to spend a ton of time there, but I did finally visit the Brooklyn Botanic garden - mostly the outdoor bits - and I had a great time.
I had hoped to take a lot of unusual pictures there, but, like a complete clown, I left the battery for my nice camera at home. This was also after creating a rickety tower of objects on top of my backpack the night before I left, with the camera balanced on top. This is sometimes effective at reminding me that the camera (or whatever item I've put in an unusual precarious position) needs something before I can put it away.
But I forgot! So I now have very few, merely OK pictures of the garden. Here are some:

I really liked that I caught so many people leaning over at the exact same time to photograph the Shakespeare garden. That's pretty funny.
New York is just endlessly bursting with new cool stuff I have never seen or done before. There is more stuff here than I could possibly see or do in my life, and most of it is much easier to access than the stuff in LA. It can be a little humbling to come here and just stumble over excellent stuff I've never even thought to go see before. Ahh, well!! What a great time to be alive, I suppose.
All the other pictures I took were of bugs, so I'm not posting them here. Bugs are entertaining!! I like photographing them a lot. I wish I had my harder-to-use camera functional so I could get some bugs with it!!
